Smoothie Time!

IMG_1048

Smoothies are my absolute favorite thing to sip on whenever I want to feel a little more energized & full throughout the day. I especially love making smoothies in the summertime because they’re refreshing, quick, and easy! I wanted to share a few tips for making smoothies, as well as two of my favorite recipes I have perfected over the last couple of years!

Smoothie No. 1 is a green smoothie. We will call it

Tropical Greens

What you’ll need:

  • Blender
  • Fresh spinach (handful)
  • Orange juice (2 Cups)
  • Frozen pineapple chunks (1 Cup)
  • Frozen peach slices (1/2 Cup)
  • Frozen mango chunks (1/2 Cup)
  • 32 oz jar or container of your choice
  • Straw

*Tip Number One: When making a green smoothie, blend liquids and greens before adding the rest of your fruit. This will help make the consistency of the smoothie much smoother.

*Tip Number Two: Use a stainless steel straw! This is such a helpful “hack” I’ve found, especially when you really want something cold to drink. Since the straw is stainless steel, it keeps the straw cold when drinking your freshly made smoothie. It makes the smoothie even more refreshing! I use U-Konserve reusable stainless steel straws. It’s eco-friendly, which is a big plus!

In a blender, add 2 cups of orange juice followed by a handful of spinach. Blend until smooth. Once blended, add in 1 cup of frozen pineapple, 1/2 cup of frozen peaches, and 1/2 cup of frozen mango. Blend again until smooth. Pour into your jar, add in a straw and enjoy!

This green smoothie is so delicious and very refreshing! It’s one that I find myself making all the time. Try it! You won’t regret it.

This second smoothie feels more suited for breakfast time. I mean both smoothies are great for breakfast, but this one reminds me more of the morning time. This smoothie is made up of fruit & non-dairy milk.

Strawberry Morning

What you’ll need:

  • Blender
  • Frozen bananas (1- 1 1/2  bananas, depending on size)
  • Frozen mango chunks (1/2 cup)
  • Fresh strawberries (8- 10 strawberries, depending on size)
  • 2 cups of oat-milk (seriously the besssssst non-dairy milk!)                                        or unsweetened almond milk
  • 32 oz jar or container of choice
  • Straw

*Tip Number Three: ALWAYS freeze ripe bananas (when they are spotty). I don’t know if its much of a tip, but for many reason, it’s better to freeze them rather than toss them!

In a blender add in 2 cups of oat-milk or unsweetened almond milk. Add in 1 to 1 1/2 frozen bananas, 1/2 Cup of frozen mango chunks and 8 to 10 fresh strawberries. Blend until smooth and enjoy!

These two smoothies are seriously the best! I don’t know if I have even said it enough. Hope you try them out and enjoy them as much as me. Hope you all are having a great start to your summer!

  1. I love all your blog posts ♡ I so love stainless steel straws too. I take them with me in my purse to save on plastic too. 😉 Love the glass bottle container.
