“BLOGMAS” week 1

Happy December everyone! I really can’t believe it is the last month of 2018. It is sooo crazy to me how time flies. Anyway, I don’t know if any of you are familiar with Vlogmas. I’ve watched many YouTubers do Vlogmas for many, many years and it is when YouTubers vlog things from their everyday lives and also a lot of Christmassy things from December 1st to December 25th. (Fun fact: vlogmas was born on Ingrid Nilsen’s youtube channel.) Vlogmas is a v popular thing on Youtube & I am a HUGE fan of it! It always gets me excited to do Christmassy things, and December is always a great month for me overall, so I decided to do a blog version of Vlogmas. Instead of doing it daily, I will be doing it weekly.  So here we go & I hope you enjoy these kinds of blogs!

Saturday December 1st-

I really wanted to get started decorating my home for Christmas & getting my Christmas tree, but unfortunately, that did not happen.  I decided to go shopping for some more Christmas decorations and didn’t find much. Although there were a lot of cute things, its all about self-control haha.

I went to HomeGoods and came across this super adorable snow globe, and I knew I had to get it! I’ve been looking for a snow globe for a while but didn’t see my self owning any of the ones I came across in the past.  I also found this cute wrapping paper. These rolls were a good size and were $2.99 each, which is a steal!

So my parents, sister, niece and brother in law came down for a day trip to visit me and to celebrate my birthday early! We hung out over at my apartment for a little while, went to get my Christmas tree and after that, we went to get some dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was such a fun time to spend the day with family! My niece loved the Americana at Brand with all their Christmas decorations!

Monday December 3rd-

I woke up starving, haha nothing new! I had some greek yogurt with some fresh raspberries, blueberries, and some yummy granola. I then proceeded to get ready and headed to Trader Joes to pick up a few things. I came across this little tree that I knew I wanted for my bathroom. I then went home and decorated some areas around my house and Aaron, and I finally decorated our Christmas tree! And I love it sooo much. All the lights and all the tinsel on my Christmas tree makes me so, so happy! I still want to get a lot more decor for my house, but we will see what I end up doing.

Didn’t do a whole lot of Christmas shopping/ activities, but I did some house chores. It was a rainy day in LA, so we stayed in for most of the day. Aaron & I ended up going to Michaels to buy some clear and white ornaments for my birthday party! Just a little tip for you, Michaels always have sales for their Christmas stuff, and you can find some good things for great prices. We got two boxes of ornaments for $4 each box, and we got two glitter paint packs for $2 each! Not bad at all. Plus, they always have cute Christmas stuff. It’s a fun time to go to Michaels when they have sales.

Wednesday December 5th-

It’s my birthdayyyyy! This day was busy from start to finish, but it was sooo fun! It was another rainy day in Los Angeles, and I loved every second of it! I went to get a pedicure around 10 AM at Olive & June. After that, Aaron and I went to Einstein Bros for some bagels and oh my gosh they had a hash brown bagel that is sooo bloody delicious! It was our first time there, and I definitely recommend it.  Then, we went to Benefit Cosmetics Boutique to get my brows done (Benefit will wax your eyebrows for FREE anytime during your birthday week! Except for the brow bars in Ulta).

Once we got my brows done, Aaron and I headed to get our pictures taken with Santa. Yes I am 25 years old, and I still take pictures with Santa, and it is completely okay! haha, Its just a tradition we have done for six years, and we are not stopping now. After our photos, we hung out at the shopping mall and I picked up some cupcakes at Sprinkles cupcakes. They are sooo good, and I wanted some type of cake for my birthday haha.  After, we headed back home, and it was over an hour long drive. I was getting anxious because it was getting close to the time some friends were coming over. Luckily, I got home 30 minutes before! It was such a fun night, we had some Prosecco, wine, cupcakes, chips & salsa and we decorated ornaments and just had such a fun night! A friend and I ended up decorating a gingerbread house as well. It was a good, good time!

Thursday December 6th-

I went Christmas shopping and even though I’d love to show y’all what I got, I can not just because family & friends may be reading this and we do not want to spoil the surprise for them! I did have a free reward for Coffee Bean, and I got myself a Cookie Butter Ice blended drink with soy milk, and it is so good! I usually don’t go for these kinds of drinks, but you have to try this drink. I have tried it before a couple of years ago, and I am so happy its back because it has been too long!

Friday December 7th-

In the morning I didn’t do much, but right around noon, I went to Bath & Body Works to pick up some hand soaps. They had them on sale for $2.95, and they are originally $6.50 each, so its deal! Later on in the day, I started to do some gift wrapping! I love gift wrapping. It is so much fun and there is a lot to it, even though it doesn’t seem like it. Working at a crafty place made me realize I don’t know anything about gift wrapping haha they go hard, and they look absolutely beautiful. Now it’s time to step up my game haha. I wrapped a couple of presents, and I have some more things to wrap, but  I do need to pick up some boxes to put the stuff in so I guess I need to put gift boxes on my shopping list. At the end of the night, I was folding some laundry, and Youtube was playing some old Holiday Disney stuff. I was watching some Lizzie McGuire, That’s So Raven, Even Stevens & other fun throwbacks!

Saturday December 8th-

It’s Saturday! Woohoo. My day started very quickly because I overslept, but it is entirely okay. I was all good and well rested. I quickly washed my face, brushed my teeth, got dressed and did my makeup. Aaron & I headed to downtown to meet up with a friend for brunch. We went to Poppy & Rose, and it’s such a fun little spot next to the Los Angeles Flower Market. I had some pancakes, hash browns and eggs with an iced latte. Let me say their coffee is yummy. It’s my new favorite! After we had brunch, Aaron and I decided to go inside the Flower Market and while there were many types of flowers around I was just blown away of how Christmassy it was in there. They had hundreds and hundreds of Poinsettias and fresh Christmas wreaths that made the whole place smell like Christmas!

I am looking forward to doing a lot more Christmas type of things. It’s only the beginning. There are just about two weeks left till Christmas, and I want to fill up my days with as much fun as I can! I hope y’all enjoy these kinds of blogs! Make sure you are following me on Instagram @jusst_janet. You’ll see a lot more behind the scenes, and I do plan on doing some fun stuff on there!

xx Janet
