Travel & Life Update

WOAH, It has been a while! But I am baccccck, and I couldn’t be happier. Life isn’t easy, and I am not trying to make any excuses, but sometimes all we need is a break! Taking a break from something you love doing is entirely okay. Mental health is something we should all take serious and well; we want to be sane! Although I’ve been absent my blog has always been on my mind, and I just knew it is important for me to take care of my self for a little while. I’ve had some personal things going on (nothing too CRAZY, everything is okay) but its stuff that I had to deal with. Now I don’t want any pity so I won’t go into details, but I’ve been taking time to take better care of myself overall.

I’ve been gone for a little over two months. YIKES! That is a long time!! With that being said I do want to update y’all! I have been trying to decorate my home with cute little plants everywhere although it’s been hard because my cat, Mason, loves to eat them, haha but I recently got a couple of baby succulents and repotted all my other plants. It is just so relaxing and soothing doing some planting. In all honesty, I wish I could grow a garden with vegetables and flowers! One day I shall, but for now, I’ll stick to the good ole cacti/succulents and any plants that are easy to take care of haha.

Aaron and I took a quick little road trip up North Cal. We, of course, stopped at my favorite beach of all time, Shell Beach! It is very near and dear to my heart. One that I love and I can’t get enough of. If you are ever on the central coast, you must visit this spot.  It was a quick stop, but I can stare at the ocean for a v long time ha. After that quick stop, we headed over to San Francisco. It was absolutely one of my favorite nights on our trip! I met up with a good friend and headed over to a couple of bars. We then had a sudden urge to walk up and down the San Francisco hills in the rain! It was such a fun adventure and overall a good time. I just love San Francisco haha. I never spend enough time there, and I hope one day I get to spend a good amount of days or weeks or whatever it will be and explore everything it has to offer! It’s such a great city!! After San Francisco, we drove to Humboldt County.

Our Airbnb was the cutest! We stayed at a Victorian home, and everything about it was just beautiful! We went to visit some family and took it easy, but its always such a good time!

If you haven’t been to Humboldt County, it is a place to visit. I mean there isn’t a lot, but they have some great breweries and great hiking trails. Plus the forest is beautiful and its a whole experience. It is always so breathtaking to be there! I love the fresh air that the big redwood trees give off like its literally sooo fresh, haha I can’t explain it.  Also, Eureka has some of the cutest little boutique shops and one of my FAVORITE thrift shops! You can always find great little vintage things there! I wanna travel all over the world, but don’t we all?

As far as Photography goes, I have been taking it easy, but I am determined to get my groove back! I recently have been doing a lot of hand lettering. I’ve been practicing, and I am nowhere near as good as I want to be, but practice makes perfect! I am proud that its something I haven’t given up on.  Aaron, my boyfriend, and I still have been spending a lot of time at Coffee shops doing work. Well, he has been working, and I am there for a good time, haha but I do try to do some week planning or some hand lettering when we hang out at coffee shops!

As far as this goes, in case I haven’t mentioned it, I am overly excited to be back from my “break.” I have been brainstorming a few things I’d like to share on this blog, and well if there is anything you guys would like for me to write/ share about please let me know!

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL week!

xx Janet
